6th August 2023 - Lots happening.... WELCOME LUIS TO THE BAND, SEAN RETURNS!

So, lots has happened since the last news update!

Firstly, we found an amazing guitarist, LUIS PINEDA, whose lead and musician skills IS the BEST this bands ever had, and that's saying a hell of a lot!

Join us to say WELCOME LUIS!!! His work and skill has already surpassed previous guitarist that have graced the band!

Now, DARK ORDER has performed recently at BATTLEFEST I at the Penrith Paceway with sister band Hellz Abyss.

ALSO, DARK ORDER has now moved its booking and promotions over to HELLHOUND MUSIC, under the leadership of Lisa Perry.

We're on track with recording the album, the best quality is being recorded.

Apologies for the length of time its taking to record, BUT, it will be worth the wait....

8th MARCH 2022 - Dark Order 30th anniversary Tour of Australia

Been a while since posting here.

Well, on February 18th we began recording the new album (Finally....I know you have been frustrated) and in March now we're deep into the rhythm guitar tracks.

In the missile of all this, as posted above, we're doing our 3th Anniversary tour of Australia. As more dates are announced the above poster will be moddified.

2ND JANUARY 2022 - Happy New Year 2022

HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone! We have recording booked for February, we'll begin recording the drums for ALBUM IV, then we'll proceed to records the guitars, Bass and vocals at Raul's home studio.

We're also in the process for booking the 30th Anniversary shows for 2022. KEEP AN EYE FOR SHOW DATES.

On another note, our next show, COVID permitting is Thrashville 12th February 2022 at Dashville NSW, WE'RE ON 1PM-1:30PM!,which is a large festival show of both Punk and Metal bands:

"After the success of the rescheduled September 2020 event in February 2021, Angeroo reckons it'd rude if we didn't press ahead with an official 2021 date... but in 2022. Bush fires got us in 2019, COVID punched us in the guts in 2020 and our hopeful second serving in 2021. But we'll be BACK for 2022 - with 2 nights! Held at Dashville at Lower Belford, the one day camping event features an array of local and regional bands ranging in styles from punk rock to death metal, alongside skateboarding displays and live graff art. Thrashville is a rare opportunity regardless of COVID and Dashville is proud to be able to deliver such an event in an outdoor COVID Safe environment. Thrashville is rated MA15+, it is a fully licensed one day event with onsite camping and catering. It is up to the discretion of a parent/guardian for their child to attend (we still reckon 12+ is best as it's a loud, hot, long day). Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. No refunds, name changes available. Thrashville goes a head rain, hail or shine. 24th October 2021 - BLONG SILENCE due to LOCKDOWN, now over!

Yes, DARK ORDER, like all other bands, had to be in stasis due to the recent NSW Delta COVID19 lockdown that has run since May until October now that NSW is at 80% vaccination rate. However, we worked on the new album songs, new and revised demos, and also Raul wrote a song about his divorce experiance that in style is very different to regular Dark Order songs. This WILL BE a very interesting album.
SO, we have just had two new rehearsals and have videos on Facebook:

25th February 2021 - BIEN VIAJE to one brother and WELCOME another brother!

12th September 2020 - ...back to the drawing board...

Unfortunately, not everything goes to plan, and this is the current case in the band at the moment. We have parted ways with both the new bass player Pablo & new drummer Mark due to disagreements in modus operandi.
We are trying to bring forward the recording of our overdue album for you the fans out there, and yes we have acknowledged your messages asking where the album is, apologies for the delays. As we've mentioned before, all the songs are complete and have been since 2018. So we will be recording the album with either a fill-in drummer or drum software, one way or the other you will get your long awaited album. As mentioned when Sean left, he will still be helping us out where he can, gigs (after covid19) even recording bass on the new album, and he has written three complete songs, and one co-written with Raul. All the songs are very interesting and we're sure you will like them, as we do!

7th August 2020 - After 15 years, SEAN VEALE departs Dark Order

DARK ORDER has to announce sad news that our long time brother and Bassist of 15 years, Sean Veale, has had to quite live music altogether due to urgent family commitments, he has had to stop playing in all his bands, including us.
He has been the greatest songwriter to the band, and his bass playing changed the bands sound forever. What he did on our last album is just unbelievable.

He is still, like Nawar Delati, a member of the Dark Order family, and will always be... he will make appearances live from time to time, and still record Bass for our next album!!!!

We wish him well, so much brotherly love for his journey from here onwards.

Its been and absolute pleasure to have had you in the band for these 15 past years, all the laughs, farts, shannigans, guitar raping (poor Diego) and absolutamente THE best bass player we have ever had! Of course our friendship and family will continue forever.... and if Seany decides to come back, the METAL door will always be unlocked and ready to be slammed open with your headbanging greatnesses!!! We love ya SEANY!!!!

16th March 2020 - Welcome to the Dark Order family our new drummer, Mark Hall !

Amidst the dark chaos of the coronavirus, Dark Order is proud to announce to the world our newest band member and drummer, Mark Hall. He has a long standing experience in the Music industry, setting up shows here in Australia, Japan for various bands both local and international, and is a master of vinyl records. Mark has already mastered our live set... hence, we are ready to return to stage. He has begun working on the 10 new songs ready for album IV... 29th February 2020 - Important Announcement from Dark order

It is with much lament that, due to workload pressures and an extremely rigorous bandlife schedule, we farewell the infamous Zac Attack from the ranks of Dark Order. This was a somewhat mutual decision after discussing what was best for all concerned.

Currently, he and the mighty 'The Plague' are about to unleash death and disease on us all with a brutal assault in aural form of a full length release, no doubt with much work to promote and spread their infection afar. From what we have heard (been assaulted with!) trackwise, you'll all be dropping like flies!!! Very impressive stuff.

When he's not bubonic, he will be pounding the flesh for Sydney stalwarts 'Killrazer', and with Zac's undeniable ability, their imminent return will be realised much sooner than fans have hoped. They have been missed, and they deserve a skin pummeller of Zac's pedigree.

By no least, thirdly, he affords great respect and reverence to a couple of legends in the form of Clive Burr and Nicko McBrain whilst inhabiting the stool for 'Aces High', who are running rampant all over the continent.

We have been fortunate enough to have known Zac for more than a decade, certain members even toasting his 21st with him at the Lewo'(Lewisham Hotel). We're still not certain just how his beautiful wife-to-be (hope you're well Amanda) puts up with him and his shenanigans, but if you have been fortunate enough to make his acquaintance, you just can't get angry with him.

We in Dark Order sincerely wish Zac and all above mentioned bands nothing but the best, we genuinely thank him for all he has afforded us which has been substantial. He is without doubt one of the best metal drummers from this continent and molten metal flows within his veins like lava. First and foremost, however, we will always consider him A MATE first.

Thanks again Zac, it's our shout at the next gig.

Finally after 3 years of searching for a permanent drummer, it is our greatest
delight to welcome back Zac Sale to Dark Order!!! We have already started to today working out and learn our new songs for the next album, and they are already sounding real good!

We are aiming for the album to be out by the end of 2019, so we have our work cut out for us.

2nd October 2018 - Aftermath of last four shows, new 7" Vinyl and looking for drummer continues...

Thanks to all the friends and fans that turned up to our last 5 shows...
Our previous news post did not mention the Sydney SHRED FEST which was awesome and our BEST sounding show in 2 years!

We are at the moment recording guitar tracks for 2 songs for a new 7" vinyl release with new solos from Ryan, and I am re-recording new rhytm guitars with new gear, as a test for what we will be doing for the new album

Sorry to our fans who have waited so long, but you will be surprised by the next album.

Good things come to those who wait....

Unfortunately our plans with rob didn't work out as he had hoped, so the search goes on!!!

GOOD NEWS is that our mate & former drummer, Zac Sale is filling in for our Melbourne show, and our mate Adrian Skocic is filling in for our local shows.

Sean Veale has decided to re-join Dark Order, much to our delight and we feel awesome that this dude is back. He is a song writing force, great bassist, like the Geezer Butler of the band, and his knowledge of metal and metal bands are invaluable.

24th October 2016 - NEW LINE UP

Greetings all....

Firstly apologies to all regarding the lack of news updates, as I mentioned over 1 year previous (1 whole bloody year??) that most of our news updates would be done on our Facebook page. But alas... Facebook is limited

So, We had a few very successful gigs, most notably the Bangers 'N Thrash 2016 last June, which was one our best shows in a long time.
We also then had a line up change (yet again!), Sean, Jimi and Zac parted ways to pursue other projects, and Robert Timar and Ed Manuel Oramas have arrived to take their respect stations on the warship Dark Order, Robert on drums and Manuel on Bass.
Please give Robert and Ed Manuel a warm Dark Order welcome when you meet them!

We are setting up new shows now for 2016/17 so if there are any bands wanting to play shows, please contact us at darkorder@darkorder.com.au... and YES WE WILL PLAY 3 PIECE!!! We did back in 2002-2004...

7th December 2014 - Recent shows close 2014, and onwards to 2015

Greetings all....

We’re busy in writing mode for Album IV that we will hopefully enter the studio to record next year. We recently had some shows, one at the Bald Faced Stag, and the other at the Garden Night Club in Wollongong, the later of which there are youtube videos of that show on our youtube channel.
As for up coming gigs there is May 8th the BattleGod Festival, but see our Facebook page for more frequent updates

15th December 2013 - Last nights GIG was absolutely the best!!

Last night at the lewisham Hotel, DARK ORDER celebrated its 20th Anniversary with a debut gig with new members Zac (Attack) Sale and Jimi MacGregor. Along wit the other bands on the bill, Fenrir, Head in a Jar, Hangman and Gutter Tactic, the all ages event went down like Satan at a BBQ!!!! 28th July 2013 - ... By the way... WE HAVE A NEW DRUMMER

Greetings all....

GREAT NEWS... WE HAVE A DRUMMER!!!! Welcome aboard ZACK SALE!!! We had a very awesome audition today, three songs into the audition we knew he was in the band. Welcome Zack!!! So now we're a full band again and will be rehearsing to get ready for shows and write and album... Welcome Zak!!!!

So even though it will be at least 3-4 months till we're ready to play gigs, we will make this an event as it is the 20th year of Dark Order. So if there are any bands wanting to play shows, please contact us at darkorder@darkorder.com.au .

26th June 2013 - Writing songs for the next album and still looking for a drummer...

Greetings all

DARK ORDER whilst currently looking for a permanent replacement drummer are writing songs for the next album, James, Sean and Raul working hard to bring some new songs with a different twist to them than was on the 'Condor' album... just a little twist! We are also commencing plans to do a release, as of yet no date available, which will have live songs, video clips, including one for the 'Cold War of the Condor' album. More news to come about this as it progresses. It will be something to celebrate 20 years of DARK ORDER. 12th SEPTEMBER 2012 - WELCOME NEW DARK ORDER TROOPER - JIMI MACGREGOR!!!

Greetings all

Dark Order would to officially annouce and welcome onboard our new guitarist JIMI MACGREGOR (former member of Shinto Katana) who will bring his roaring Marshall prowess and song writing skill into Dark Order! Please fans welcome aboard the Battlestar Dark Order, with a hugh metallic roar, to Jimi !!!!

Our beloved guitarist Diego has decided to finish his 6 year tour of duty with Dark Order to concentrate on and pursue his Flight Pilots career. Diego has been an inovative member of the band and he will be missed, though he still is a brother of us and forever a part of this Dark Order family. His legacy with the band is eternally recorded on our album 'Cold War Of The Condor' !!! We wish a strong live long and prosper and fly safe and you never know we maybe on the very airplane he pilots one day!!!!

14th JANUARY 2012 - HAPPY NEW METAL YEAR!!!

Greetings all

Firstly, HAPPY NEW METAL YEAR to all our fans worldwide for this 2012!

This coming year looks to be an interesting one. Our belated video clip will begin shooting in the months ahead, and hopefully at the end there will two clips, though, I have ideas for at least three.
Also would like announce my brother Marco, our drummer, will be a Daddy this year! The new little Alvarez family member should arrive into the world in July! ...beware Uncle Diego!!! So, to he topic of the next album, the songs are coming along to the point that we have so much music we're still unsure what to do with it all!! At this point in time there is ONE complete song that the band knows how to play, and lyrics will be coming along soon. The songs are in parts still, as we speak ... !!

21st November 2011 - Writing new music for next album... and looking for shows

Greetings all

As 2011 comes to a close, DARK ORDER are writing new songs for the forth album that lays ahead, and the new stuff is really cool as there is A LOT more musical input from the rest of the band other than just myself as it has been in the past years, which is a nice break for me, and the new stuff is giving the same feelings of the '5000 years of Violence" album, like a fresh vibe... difficult to describe, but fucking awesome. As opposed to the past where I would be writing 95% of songs and others at times throwing in just a RIFF here or there, its now the opposite where Sean or Diego, and Marco, will have a song complete or song parts, and I would throw a riff of mine at them only if the song needed it, and I let them do what they want and its such a cool feeling and interesting. I am soooo proud of the band and how we have maintained this Thrash Metal family since 2006. I am still very proud of 'COLD WAR OF THE CONDOR', and I still want to do some tweaks to the mixes and a remaster as I feel the album deserves better, but that will come in time.

We have put the video on hold, but we'll pick up on it soon, so sorry to any fans waiting on us, but 2011 has been a very shit year for alot of us, including myself.

On the topic of the October 22nd SATURDAY: VENOM NIGHTCLUB show with HEAD IN A JAR, DARK ORDER, DESOLUTION and DR.AMATIC, it was a fucking ripper of a show, and its been a long time since we've been entertained by and awesome band like HEAD IN A JAR, so thanks again lads, we WILL play another show together soon.

We've just had the two great and fun gigs: 12-06-2011 - MELBOURNE | THE TOTE Collingwood Which was for 'The Thrashening' with In Malices Wake and Desokrator, which was packed out, and the venue 'The Tote' has never looked better, and closer to home 24-06-2011 - SYDNEY | THE VALVE BAR Tempe - with Teratornis, Kunvuk, Head in a Jar, which was a hell of a lot of fun!!! That show has been uploaded to our DARK ORDER YOUTUBE CHANNEL!!!

Diego is back from Chile so we returning to rehearsals and to prepare for the coming two shows, being a September BATTLEGOD show at the VALVE BAR again with RandomOrder (OUR BRO'S from TASSIE!!!) and Toecutter from Melbourne, and a speacial headliner TBA!

Then we'll be playing the next Samhain Hollows fest with our label mate HARM from Norway in October at the Sandringham!!!

March 11th - 2011 - Our condolences to our label manager...

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our friend and great man, father to Pete Gorgoroth, our label mamager of BattleGod, may his soul vaya con el reino de Dios por eternedad. Pete's Dad was a wonderful man, never ever angry, just full of warm hearted love an affection. Every time we would visit the house of Pete, his father would always greet us and ask us about our family in the most warm manner.

To his memory we salute him!

January 22nd - 2011 - COLD WAR OF THE CONDOR still going Strong!!! DARK ORDER for 2011

Greetings all, and HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

DARK ORDER is back for 2011, and we have some shows to announce! But first thing is first!

We would like to thank Vendetta of the fallen for giving us a show that we played at the Landsdowne Hotel in Sydney back on 5th December 2010. It was a great show, and soon I will upload a song from that show on our YouTube Channel www.youtube.com/battlestardarkorder .

Also, I want to thank Dave Balfor from Metal Evilution for the gig at the Lucky Australia, and for the upcoming show that I will announce.

And last but NOT the least we want to thank Bell for the putting us as headlining for the Samhain Hollows 3 show from last 30th October 2010, it was one the most enjoyable shows I have ever done, and thanks to Albert for the amazing photos, which I will also upload to our myspace!

NOW, to 22nd January 2011. Diego is still in Chile till early February, so when he is back we will be playing our first show of the year at the good ol' Lewisham Hotel on the 18th February, hosted but Metal Evilution's last show. DECEMBER 19th - 2009 - ALERT!!! RECORDING/TRACKING IS FINISHED!!!

Greetings all!!!

I am fucking happy to announce that DARK ORDER have finished recording/Tracking our new album! After one year and nine months!!!!
The last of my vocals and speacial guest gang vocals were completed last night at Sonic Factory studios! Sean sang some gang vocals alongside special guests Marco (yep, my brother, the drummer), one of my best mates Fabian(el zombe del mapocho) Aquino and studio engineer Danel! The gang vocals sound fucking excellent, kind of like old AC/DC!!!

The songs are now ready for mixing, so that we can shape the songs into an album to fucking kick you all right in the fucking BALLS... the Thrash Metal way!!!

SO... we will now begin organizing our album launch and Australian Tour for 2010, so, if any bands are interested in playing support for DARK ORDER, please contact us!!!

NOVEMBER 14th - 2009 - NOVEMBER DARK ORDER NEWS!

Greetings all

In the midst of recording the last song, I have been struck with a strong throat virus which has caused delays in recording the vocals. My tonsils have swollen up!

Hopfully this week, I should be back on track for recording... I hope....

Today the band will be doing our photo shoot for the album, and it will be a very interesting photo shoot.... as Mr Spock would say, 'Facinating'...

I would like to thank the loyal THRASHERS that came to watch us at the Oxford Tavern, you showed us what it means to be a REAL metalhead and not posers!
Also, we as DARK ORDER would like to thank MAD CHARLIE and RAMPANT for playing fucking awesome sets with us at the OXFORD TAVERN, and for being the coolest of dudes! We will play more shows together!!!

Well for starters, I WAS going bald anyways, I just thought I'd beat mother nature to it!

So, we are nearing completion of the recording process, only two more songs to sing, then we start mixing! We are also looking to book shows, so if any band interested to play on our bill, then please contact us!

Well... we are going to be playing the next show at Gearins Hotel in Katoonba, as some of you already know. We cannot wait to play for Metaldom out there on FRIDAY 12th of JUNE!

THANKS to all our current and new fans that watched us at the GAELIC club show last Saturday night...banging your heads and screaming! We fucking loved that show as much as you did!!! Thanks to John & Co. for organizing such an enjoyable event!

Well, aside from myself going crazy over the new STAR TREK film... DARK ORDER has now three upcoming shows and still recording the vocals of the new album. We're doing the best job we can do for this album and you'll be NOT disappointed!
BRAND NEW SONG from our forthcoming new third album 'Cold war of the Condor' is now uploaded on our MYSPACE page. Its called 'Dissension of the Raptor', the song at the top of the play list.

March 2nd 2009 - RECORDING UPDATE: ALL INSTRUMENTS FINISHED!!!!

Greeting to all!!!

Last Saturday and Sunday, 28th February/1st March, we had finished all Guitar solos and over dubs. This means that all the instruments are finished!!! We only have the vocals to do now. Big thanks to our Engineers Fulvio & Danel for their time over the weekend... and Lucius to!

Diego recorded amazing guitar solos, and I did 3 of my own as well....

So yes fans, the completion stage is drawing ever nearer, and to all that have heard the album so far, have all been blown away with the sound, so I'm happy.

...BUT... still lots of vocals to do.....

PS: Don't forget that our next show is with Blackened and Mortal Sin in Wollongong on 15th of May. NIGHT OF THRASH!!!

Well, due to technical problems at the studio, we were not able to record the guitar solos yet, so we are going to record them when Diego is back from Chile. So we tried to start the Vocals, but when I arrived the studios Desk had power issues... so no vocals yet! Ah well, good things take time!

Well, during the course of the following weeks the Guitar solos and overdubs will be recorded, however we have been put on hold as the studio we're recording at is upgrading its desk to.... wait for it... A FULLY AUTOMATED SSL DESK....and ... A 24TRK 2' REEL TO REEL ANALOGUE machine!!! So, what does that all mean to the regular joe out there? It means DARK ORDER's new album is going to sound TWICE a killer as it already does, maybe even three or four times as killer! So trust me dudes & dudettes out there, its a fucking great thing!

I am now predicting the Album will be out in March 2009. But shit can still happen...

November 26th 2008 - To a very dear friend and a great bloke!....

Greetings all!

DARK ORDER's condolences (Raul, Sean, Marco & Diego) to mine and Seans long time friend Greg Morelly. I knew Greg for many years, he used to always come into Guitar Crazy when I worked there to hang out and talk guitars, have a coffee....many many times, and he new my Mother when she had the mixed business store in Greenacre. My Mum became very very sadenned when I told her about the accident. When Dark Order played its first show in 1993, Greg was there, and I remember asking him if we were heavy enough and he said "Fuck Yeah!". I sold him a cool BC Rich Japanese NJ series guitar from the 1980's...

Seany mentioned to me the other day that Greg knew Seany since he was little Kid...

Seany as of late had been jamming with Greg & Wayne Campbell too...

So many memories....I am still really feeling his passing...

Greg Morelli has fallen into shadow, but I feel him watching over all the people that ever loved, liked and enjoyed their friendship.

WE miss him heaps...

September 24th 2008 - DARK ORDER's Album progress continued....

Greetings all!

Update on recording progress...

We have four songs to go in regards to recording the Bass tracks. Seany has used both his P-Bass and his Gibson Ripper on all songs, and in one song in particular the first half is the Ripper and the second half is the P-Bass! So far its sounding fucking amazing!!! These Bass lines are so complex that they could not be played by any other way except with fingers!!!
BUt...the fucking TONE is amazing....
I cant wait to get to the Guitar solo's....then vocals....

The band is very happy with the results so far

August 18th 2008 - DARK ORDER's Album progress!

Greetings all! Just thought we'd let you know that we're heading in to the Studio to start recording that Bass tracks, complex bass lines that mostly can only be played with fingers, not picks, performed by our master Metal head and friend, our Bass player Sean Veale!
This will be the first time in 2 months that I get to be at the studio only to produce and not to record my own performance.
The album is coming together...and it is a beast! ... Looking forward to seeing some masterful bass playing, the way Bass should be played...with fingers!

We have finished all the Rhythm guitar tracks for the new album, and so far its all sound really good. I spent 7 days of just recording the rhythms as they are a lot harder to play than previous albums!!!

March 26 2008 - Battlegod Productions bands, Including Dark Order, now thru Century Media for the Americas

Greetings to all fans and the rest!!!!!!

DARK ORDER has just received great news from our records label BATTLEGOD PRODUCTIONS that our albums, like that of all other Battlegod bands will be distributed through the mighty CENTURY MEDIA for the North American and South American region!!!!! We are still be distributed through Europe with TWILIGHT-VERTRIEB. But now all those in the USA can purchase our albums direct from the U.S.!!!!!

ALSO.....this weekend we begin RECORDING OUR THIRD ALBUM!!!! After 5 years of doing this project, sometimes with delays of having to put the project aside several times due to many distruptions, ITS FINALLY BEING PUT TO TAPE!!!!!! I AM SO FUCKING EXCITED personally, and so is the rest of DARK ORDER!!!!!

The album will have 12 songs in total possibly 13 (depends on editing) and is about the Golpe militar of 1973 till its fall in 1989. SO...its a Thrash Metal concept album, in the vein of 'Reign in Blood' crossed with 'Operation: Mindcrime'. We are very sure that you will enjoy it all. It has the aggression of our first album, but much more mature.
